Ian Somerhalder: 'Vampire Diaries' Actor Goes On A Holiday Trip With Girlfriend Nikki Reed, Shares Adorable Selfie Image On Instagram
"Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder shared to his millions of fans how he spent his Christmas through a shared selfie image on Instagram. The 36-year-old actor enjoyed a holiday trip with his girlfriend, Nikki Reed, and her brother on the mountains of Sun Valley, Idaho.
According to an E!Online report, Ian and Nikki headed to the Sun Valley mountains on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, to spend some quality time together. On Friday, Dec. 26, the TVD star shared an adorable image of himself and his lady love on his Instagram account iansomerhalder.
"No filter for this sunny Sun Valley day of awesomeness with my loves, the incredible @iamnikkireed and my brother @nathanaugustreed. The Happiest of holidays to everyone, may nothing but smiles, family time and reflection come from these moments," Somerhalder posted as a caption to the shared selfie image. Click HERE to see photo.
Then, the actor expressed gratitude to the love and support that he and the Ian Somerhalder Foundation (ISF) received this year. Additionally, Ian Somerhalder asked his devoted fans to spread positivity, compassion and smiles because they are contagious.
Meanwhile, "Twilight" actress Nikki Reed, 26, also shared an image and a video of their holiday trip on her Instagram account iamnikkireed. "The journey," Reed posted as a caption to the shared image on Tuesday, Dec. 23. Click HERE to see photo.
The shared video that Nikki's brother captured showed Ian Somerhalder somersaulting on his snowboard before the "Twilight" star did a "butt wiggle" dance move. "When families combine and hearts collide there's only one thing to do. The butt wiggle," Reed's caption on the video reads.
Afterwards, Nikki Reed praised his brother's work of capturing the video while on his snowboard for two and a half minutes. "My brother and my love all in one day, on one mountain. I'm so overwhelmed by all of the beauty that surrounds us. HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Love...us," the actress further added on the shared Instagram video. Click HERE to watch the video.
The reports on Ian and Nikki's romantic relationship began back in August when the pair was spotted at Farmers Market in Los Angeles, California. Since then, the couple has been displaying their affection for each other during their other outings or while attending events like the San Diego Comic-Con bash where the two were reportedly spotted kissing.
The fans can watch Ian Somerhalder return as vampire Damon Salvatore in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 on Jan. 22, 2015 with episode 11 titled "Woke Up With a Monster."
