Fans always describe Ian Somerhalder as the handsome actor that portrays the evil "Vampire Diaries" character Damon Salvatore. However, the 34-year-old heartthrob star admitted on his Twitter account that he is a geek and continued to show his different off-screen side as an environmentalist and animal rights supporter.

"OK, yes I'm a geek - OUR new website is awesome. I'm so proud of our products-greening industries! check it out! http://ggmpower.com," Mr Somerhalder posted Monday, September 16, on his Twitter account @iansomerhalder about his latest company called "Go Green Mobile Power."

In the Go Green Mobile Power Web site, the company is described as the "world leader in providing 'ecofficient' power and lighting solutions for a variety of mobile applications, allowing companies to operate far more efficiently and cost-effectively 'off the grid' while simultaneously reducing their overall impact on the environment in which they operate 'ecofficiency'.

Furthermore, Ian Somerhalder continued to tweet about his excitement to participate in the three-day Social Good Summit on September 22 to 24 in New York City. "Can't wait for this weekend!!
