Ian Somerhalder Revealed His Unfortunate Theft Experience on Twitter [PHOTOS]

Heartthrob Ian Somerhalder had a very unfortunate incident on Monday night and he expressed anger and frustration on the social networking site "Twitter." The 34-year-old actor's iPod music player was stolen from his car where the culprit or culprits even crushed the vehicle's window.

"Times are tough I know - but whoever smashed my window last night & stole my iPod-you're in Luck. I just put some great new music on it! You're a d**k FYI," Ian wrote on his Twitter account @iansomerhalder with an attached Instagram photo evidence to show his smashed car window.

It appears things are really not going well with the "Vampire Diaries" star since his girlfriend Nina Dobrev is not around to console him. The couple has been spending time away from each other for quite some time now and the split rumors have surfaced on numerous web sites.

Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder have been making solo appearances in TV shows and events. Nina spent some quality time with her family and friends. Over the past couple of days, the 24-year-old actress was spotted hanging out with gal pal Julianne Hough to cheer her up after the breakup from TV host and radio personality Ryan Seacrest.

As for Ian, he has been busy traveling from Austin, Texas to attend the 2013 SXSW to New York City as well as making an interview appearance with the TV show "Watch What Happens Live" and focusing on his work at "The Ian Somerhalder Foundation."

Spending time apart could help Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev have a breathing space in their relationship since the couple spends most of their time together working on the successful TV series "The Vampire Diaries." Fans will be definitely excited and happy to see their favorite on- and off-screen couple making public appearances together again.
