Hungry Jack’s is replacing its slogan from ‘The Burgers are Better Hungry Jack’s’ to ‘Hungry Jack’s makes it better’ as the fast-food giant aims to expands its menu and increase its health focus.

The company’s national marketing director Jim Wilson explained the revamped tagline reflects the health changes happening across the fast-food brand.

With improvements in the chain’s menu, including cups of vegetables and burgers made with organic beef called Country Burgers, Mr Wilson said the new slogan, “mirrors the comprehensive changes happening across every facet of operation”.

Another significant change the fast food giant has implemented is the installation of national menu boards displaying kilojoule counts.

Nutritional Info on Menu Boards Only the Beginning

The Heart Foundation congratulated Hungry Jack’s for being the first restaurant chain to introduce menu boards displaying kilojoule counts nationally from today.

“It is important that consumers know exactly what they are eating and we believe menu labelling can give them this information; however kilojoules are only the beginning,” the organization said.

“Consumers deserve to know the full nutritional profile of the food they are eating, so they can make informed choices.”

But while comprehensive nutritional information is essential, equally so are more healthy options on the menu, siad Heart Foundation CEO Cameron Prout.

“We hope this initiative will prompt Hungry Jacks and other fast food chains boost their healthy offerings,” he added.
