“The Hunger Games” co-stars Liam Hemsworth and Jennifer Lawrence have never confirmed rumours that they are dating, but the rumour mill continue to churn over their relationship status. This is probably because Hemsworth and Lawrence are good friends offscreen.

In an interview with Nylon magazine last year, Oscar-winning actress called Hemsworth her best friend. "I guess the thing that surprised me is that I would never expect to ever have a man [Hemsworth] this good-looking ever be my best friend," she said. "I just would never assume those things could happen, but he is. He’s the most wonderful, lovable, family-oriented, sweet, hilarious, amazing guy."

Earlier this year in July, she revealed at Comic-Con in San Diego that she was with Liam's family when she got a "watered-down rebellion" tattoo. She told HitFix, "I was with Liam’s family and everybody was getting tattoos. And I was like, ‘Well, I’m always going to need to be hydrated.’ So I guess I should just get H2O on my hand.”

At the same event, Lawrence told E! News that she and Josh Hutcherson are always drinking at Hemsworth's place in Malibu. "I got him hooked on reality TV," she said.

Hemsworth, on the other hand, told Associated Press (AP) in November 2013 that Lawrence helped him find happiness after his break up with Miley Cyrus. After three years of on-and-off dating, the Australian actor got engaged to Cyrus in June 2012, and in September 2013, they pulled the plug on their relationship.

"For a few years I went down a path where I forgot to be in the moment and enjoy the moment," Hemsworth was quoted as saying to AP by People. "But being around someone like Jen, who is so honest and laughs all day long, I am forced to be in the right now. I'm much happier."

Lawrence plays the role of Karniss Everdeen in "The Hunger Games" series, while Hemsworth portrays Everdeen's best friend and likely lover, Gale Hawthorne. They will be seen next in "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2," which is scheduled to release on Nov. 20 in the U.S. and in Australia on Nov. 19.
