Hugh Jackman has recently been treated for skin cancer. The "X-Men" star's spokesperson has confirmed that this is the third time that the actor is being cured for Basal Cell Carcinoma.

The 46-year-old actor has previously undergone surgery in November 2013 and May 2014. According to the actor's representatives, Jackman is now "all good" after the third surgery. Basal Cell Carcinoma is reportedly 100% curable. However, it can lead to permanent disfigurement if not detected early. Since being diagnosed with the disease, Hugh has been quite vocal about importance of protecting skin from harmful rays. On many occasions, the actor has propagated the significance of wearing sunscreen. He has also tried to spread the message via social media.

Jackman first found about BCC when he got a scar on his nose. His wife asked him to get the scar tested, according to BBC.

"I'm realistic about the future and it's more than likely that I'll have at least one more but probably many more, which is not uncommon for an Aussie particularly from English stock growing up in Australia where I don't remember ever being told to put sunscreen on," said Jackman to AP as reported by Independent. Many of the actor's fans have sent their best wishes via Twitter. They said that their thoughts and prayers are with him and they hope he recovers soon.
