Chinese manufacturing company Huawei has officially unveiled a 7-inch MediaPad Vogue tablet capable of making phone calls. The Voice Calling feature in the Huawei MediaPad 7 Vogue table is incorporated with a built-in receiver for direct calling support and the use of headphones is no longer needed.

"Building on the popularity of the Huawei MediaPad series, we've created a new tablet that caters to fashionistas, technology seekers, entertainment junkies and people who simply expect more from their technology," stated Richard Yu, the Chief Executive Officer of Huawei Consumer Business Group.

Mr. Yu further added: "We're delighted to introduce the MediaPad 7 Vogue, our call-enabled tablet with world-class entertainment capabilities and long-lasting battery power. The MediaPad 7 Vogue is a perfect example of Huawei's dedication to making extraordinary experiences possible."

Huawei MediaPad Vogue tablet features a 7-inch touch screen display with 1024x600p resolution, 1.2GHz processor, 16-core GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage capacity with a microSD card slot to expand memory storage up to 32GB.

The device has an aluminum unibody design at 9.5mm thin and weight of 335 grams. Additional features and specs are the 3MP rear-facing camera capable of 1080p resolution video recording at 30fps, a front-facing VGA camera for the video calling feature, the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, Bluetooth and availability on Wi-Fi or 3G/DC-HSPA+ variants.

The MediaPad 7 Vogue is pre-installed with emailing function, word processing, Facebook, YouTube and the GPS navigation apps. The new tablet features as well the Huawei Emotion UI 1.5 on top of the operating system.

According to the Chinese manufacturer, MediaPad 7 Vogue owners can experience playback of four HD movies as well as over 20 hours of continuous voice calling in just one batter charge. Furthermore, Huawei assured the device consumers that the MediaPad 7 Vogue can be connected to accessories such as external keyboards and USB drives.

Huawei's MediaPad 7 Vogue tablet will be available this June in China with color choices of black or white. Huawei confirmed that the tablet's release in other markets will follow soon but the company did not give any details on the device's pricing scheme.
