Tech enthusiasts believe that the Huawei Mate 9 will be released earlier than expected. The company is expected to hold an event on Nov. 3 in Munich, Germany and it is anticipated that the Mate 9 will be unveiled then. Huawei is reportedly sending out “save the dates” for the press event.

As per the Weibo leaks, the Huawei Mate 9 will have varying levels of onboard storage and RAM, writes Droid Life. Various renders and information leaks have showed that the Mate 9 will feature 64GB built-in storage and 4GB RAM while the top model will have a 256GB internal storage and 6GB RAM.

The base model of Huawei Mate 9 will be priced at US$500 (AU$660) and the premium model US$700 (AU$920). Another variant will have the same 4GB RAM but 128GB of internal storage and will be price at around US$580 (AU$760).

An image shared by Droid Life has confirmed that. Buyers will be able to pick from various colour options depending on the storage option he/she is going with.

The 64GB base model will come in three colour options, the 128GB model in five colour options and the 256GB model in six colour options.

Other features of Huawei Mate 9 include the Kirin 960 processor, Androi 7.0 Nougat (EMUI 5) and dual rear-facing Leica cameras (f/2.0). If the Mate 9 is announced on Nov. 3, it is expected to be revealed later that month.

According to The Bitbag, the Huawei Mate 9 will have a huge 5.9-inch Full HD display and a primary camera of 12MP. Earlier reports had suggested a 20MP dual-lens camera with an optically stabilised setup, unlike the P9s that lacked OIS. However, a 12MP camera seems more likely.

Fans will have to wait till Nov. 3 to get a full draft of the Huawei Mate 9 specs.
