The IFA 2015 has been scheduled for Sep. 2. Huawei is expected to make major announcements in two of the upcoming events the next couple of weeks.

The all new teaser of the next IFA 2015 event hints that the company will be upgrading its popular Mate7 flagship. The teaser says “A Better S”, which indicates that Huawei is ready with Mate 7S contrary to the earlier rumors. Previously it was speculated that the company might unveil the new Mate 8. Huawei is supposed to upgrade the Mate 7 flagship with a new hardware keeping the design intact, reports GSM Arena.

The recent updates from GSM Dome states that Mate 7S has been leaked via TENNA (a certification board for devices) verification and it is supposed to be shipped with 3 versions depending on the carrier with model numbers - CRR-UL00, CRR-CL00 and CRR-TL00.

The Mate 7S is anticipated to upgrade the chipset with Huawei’s latest Kirin 935 SoC - an octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU, Mali-T628MP4 GPU and 3GB of RAM. It will also pack a 5.7-inch 1080p display, a 13MP Sony camera sensor, a fingerprint scanner and will run on Android Lollipop with Emotion UI. The specs revealed by AnTuTu states that the device will be run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The teaser also illustrates the “The Power of Touch”, which further indicates that the Huawei Mate 7S may also introduce a Force Touch display. But there is no confirmation on the same.

Huawei is also expected to launch a new Honor 7i on Aug. 20 in China which will feature a sliding camera module. The device is expected to pack a 5.2-inch 1080p display, a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor complemented by an Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. The other variant may sport 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.
