A Huawei Ascend Mate 7 Smartphone At The IFA In Berlin

Huawei Ascend Mate 7, a powerful phablet from the Chinese mobile phone manufacturer, was announced to the public through the IFA event in September this year. The company recently stated that it has sold more than one million units of the Ascend Mate 7 a month after the device's release. Most of the Ascend Mate 7 handsets were sold in China as they were not readily available in other countries.

The Huawei Ascend Mate 7 is the successor of Ascend Mate 2, which came out in 2013. The new phablet houses a 6-inch IPS LCD display screen that supports full HD resolution. The Ascend Mate 2 only supported HD resolution.The Ascend Mate 7 measures 157 x 81 x 7.9mm, more compact and thinner than the Mate 2. It weighs 185g.

The cool thing about this device is it sports an aluminum body at the back, which gives the device a premium appeal. The device looks very similar to the HTC One Max.

There is also a fingerprint sensor seated below the device's camera. The sensitivity of the fingerprint sensor is so good that it can even detect a wet finger; you only need to tap your finger on it to enable it, states GSMArena.

The Huawei Ascend Mate 7 is powered with Kirin 925 octa-core processor. Four cores of Cortex A15 deliver a clocking speed of 1.8GHz and the other four cores of Cortex A7 produce 1.3 GHz speed. It is equipped with Mali-T628 graphics and 2 GB RAM. The 32 GB edition of Ascend Mate 7 features 3 GB RAM.

The Huawei Ascend Mate 7 also features a 13MP camera with LED flash. The front features a 5MP camera that is sufficient enough for snapping selfies. The device runs on Android 4.4 KitKat overlaid with Emotion UI 3.0 from Huawei.

The Huawei Ascend Mate 7 supports LTE Cat. 6 that allow users to enjoy upload speeds of 50 Mbps and download speeds of 300 Mbps. The handset is also available in a dual SIM option for selected markets. PhoneArena claims that the Ascend Mate 7 is expected to come to the U.S. very soon.
