Huawei launched its latest smartphone Honor 7i in China. The smartphone hosts interesting features like a flip camera, which is a first of its kind and a side fingerprint sensor.

Huawei Honor 7i boasts of a rotating camera module. The 13-megapixel rotating camera ensemble serves both the purpose of the rear as well as the front camera. For a change, the rear camera itself can rotate up to 180 degrees via a hinge to become a selfie snapper. It can also take up various other angles for creative shots.

The dual-tone LED flash integrated camera has a Sony Exmor sensor with a 28mm wide-angle lens and f/2.0 aperture to capture selfies at perfect lighting. A SLR grade image signal processor helps in low light performance. Additionally, the phone supports Auto Exposure, Auto White Balance, Automatic Face Recognition and Auto Smile Shutter.

Huawei Honor 7i sports a 5.2-inch display with 1080p resolution. It is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 616 processor and packed with 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage. There will be another version with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage as mentioned by GSM Arena.

Huawei 7i has the smallest sensor to date. Its fingerprint sensor is located on the left side of the phone. Both the versions will be supported by a microSDVX memory slot. It runs on Huawei EMUI 3.1 based on Android Lollipop 5.1 and houses a 3000mAh battery. The device will be packed in Black, White and Gold color variants. Connectivity-wise, it has the 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC as well as dual-SIM functionality.

Honor 7i will be available for preorder on China Mobile at 1,599 Yuan (AU $343). It will be available at a slightly higher price on China Telecom at 1,699 Yuan (AU $364) whereas the China Unicom version is priced at 1,899 Yuan (AU $406), reports Tech First Post.
