New leaked images of the upcoming HTC One X10 have circulated online. The handset is shown to have no physical buttons on its front, and looks exactly the same as the previous One X10 photo that was leaked in January. The HTC One X10, which is projected to be launched at Mobile World Congress (MWC 2017) next week in Barcelona, is reportedly going to carry a CNY1,200 (AU$228) price tag.

The HTC One X10 is expected to sport a 5.5-inch Super LCD capacitive touchscreen display with a 1,080 x 1,920 resolution and 401 PPI pixel density. The screen should be protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass, although no specific version has been mentioned. The One X10 is not projected to run on Android’s latest operating system, Nougat 7.0, but Marshmallow 6.0 is more likely.

Reportedly powering the HTC One X10 is a Mediatek MT6755 Helio P10 chipset with an octa-core CPU (4 x 1.8 GHz Cortex-A53 and 4 x 1.0 GHz Cortex-A53) and a Mali-T860MP2 GPU. An internal storage of 32 GB is expected alongside its 3 GB of RAM. The HTC handset should come with an external microSD slot that is expandable up to 256 GB.

The HTC One X10’s primary shooter is a 16 MP camera with a 28 mm f/2.0 aperture, autofocus, optical image stabilisation (OIS) and dual-LED (dual tone) flash. Standard features like geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR and panorama should go with the rear camera as well. Capturing 2160p HD videos at 30 frames per second should be no problem for the smartphone. Its selfie snapper is said to be an 8 MP camera.

Unlike the Taiwanese electronics company’s latest flagships, the HTC U Ultra and the HTC U Play, the upcoming HTC One X10 will come with a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Stereo speakers with Dolby audio enhancement and a pre-installed FM radio are also expected.

The HTC One X10 is likely to carry a non-removable lithium-ion battery, although there’s no word yet on how much power it’s going pack. A rear-mounted fingerprint scanner is set to headline the line-up of sensors, including accelerometer, gyro, proximity and compass. About a week ago, HTC made the HTC U Ultra and the HTC U Play available for pre-order in the UK. Both flagships are scheduled to hit retail stores on March 1.
