U.S. carrier AT&T has confirmed that the HTC One Mini and the Samsung Galaxy Mega are both set for the release date on August 23 with a pricing scheme. AT&T's announcement on the upcoming devices came from a press release that took place earlier this week.

Jeff Bradley, the AT&T Senior Vice President - Devices, stated: "Our customers loved the HTC One, so we are excited to offer this slimmer, more compact version. We're proud to continue to offer our customers so many choices with a broad smartphone portfolio all on the nation's fastest most reliable 4G LTE network."

The HTC One Mini exclusively lands on AT&T at $99.99 price on a two-year contract or $21 payment per month for 24 months with the use of AT&T Next. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 will have a price of $150 with a two-year contract or subscribers can go for the AT&T Next option to get the device for only $24 per month for 24 months.

The Samsung Galaxy Mega boasts with the large 6.3-inch screen, 1.7GHz dual-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 8MP camera, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system and Samsung's TouchWiz.

The HTC One Mini features a 4.3-inch Super LCD 2 HD screen display with 720p resolution in an aluminum body, the power of a 1.4GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB RAM and 4MP UltraPixel camera with the backside illuminated sensor (BSI).

"The HTC One mini is pocket-friendly but packed with large experiences- an HD screen, our breakthrough UltraPixel camera, a homescreen with customized feeds from news networks including Instragram, and huge sound from its front-facing stereo speakers," HTC North America President Jason Mackenzie stated.

Additional features included in the HTC One Mini are the Blinkfeed, Zoe and BoomSound. The HTC Blinkfeed will place all of the HTC One Mini owner's favorite content on the smartphone homepage in a special feed for easy access.

The UltraPixel camera on the HTC One Mini will have the HTC Zoe and Video Highlights features. HTC Zoe lets the owner create a three-second video while Video Highlights will automatically film 30-second shows coming from the user's captured videos and images.

Lastly, HTC BoomSound can offer top sound quality out of the HTC One Mini's stock speakers. The Beats Audio will boost the sound on the HTC line that can surpass the sound systems incorporated on the other rival smartphones.
