HTC One M9 release date and specifications have not been officially confirmed yet but since the older HTC One M8 has received a massive price cut, the new flagship is expected to arrive soon. The Indian edition of IBTimes claims that the HTC One M9 which is often dubbed as HTC Hima may probably release in March 2015.

Best Buy is offering up to $170 discount on various editions of the HTC flagship smartphone of this year. The 32 HTC One M8 4G LTE Gunmetal Gray and Amber Gold editions are available on Sprint for $29. Even the HTC One M8 for Windows 4G is available for $29. Best Buy is offering a price cut of $170 on these handsets as their regular prices are $199. Without contract, the handset is priced at $749.

The regular price of 32 GB Harmon/Kardon edition with a two-year on-contract Sprint deal is $229. With a discount of $170, the handset is available for $59 only. Also, the 32 GB HTC One M8 is also available with a price cut of $100 for $99 through AT&T and Verizon Wireless with colour options like Glacial Silver, Amber Gold, Metal Gray, Red and Black.

IBTimes India states that the lowering of the HTC One M8 price with a huge margin is an indication is that HTC is working on rolling out the HTC One M9 in the first quarter of 2015. The HTC One M9 is also expected to get showcased during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 event that will be organised from March 2 to 5.

On Dec 8, a French website, NowhereElse had revealed leaked HTC One M9 photos which showed that the flagship model of 2015 from HTC is bigger than the HTC One M8 of this year. The speculated HTC One M9 specifications include 5.5-inch display with support for Quad HD resolution, Snapdragon 805 chipset, 3 GB of RAM, 64 GB of inbuilt storage, external memory slot with support for 128 GB of microSD, 16 MP rear camera with OIS feature, Android 5.0 Lollipop, HTC Sense 7.0, water and dust resistant chassis, Cat.6 LTE modem and a larger battery of 3,500 mAh capacity.
