Fresh reports claim that a complete plastic body version of the flagship called the HTC One E9 is also expected to unleash soon. Even though HTC was speculated to launch the HTC One M9 Plus on March 1, no other handset was revealed alongside the HTC One M9. The recently launched flagship device by the Taiwanese tech giant sports a premium metal body, but now a cheaper version is expected to arrive soon.

Mobilissimo.ro has published leaked photos of the successor model for HTC One E8. The very same source has also revealed HTC One M9 Plus leaked photos. The HTC One E9 (or HTC E9) with the model number A55 is going to be a budget friendly variant of the 2015 flagship, says GSM Arena. Even the older HTC One E8 that was released last year is also the affordable version of the 2014 HTC One M8 flagship.

From the images it can be seen that the alleged HTC One E9 sports a huge camera that can be also seen on HTC One M9 Plus leaked images. Rumours indicate that it will sport a larger display of 5.5 inches. The HTC One M9 sports a full HD 5-inch display. The HTC One M9 Plus is speculated to house a larger 5.2-inch Quad HD display. However, the One E9 is expected to support Quad HD resolution on its large display.

The device will be powered by MediaTek M6975 chipset that includes a 64-bit octa-core processor along with PowerVR G6200 graphics. The chipset will deliver smoother performance with 3 GB of RAM. It is also expected to feature a 20 MP camera. Ubergizmo states that in some markets, the handset will arrive with 4 MP UltraPixels camera instead of 13 MP shooter.

It will be running on Android 5.0 Lollipop and overlaid with HTC Sense 7 UI. The device is also expected to support dual-SIM option. It also claims that the HTC One E9 will be available in colours like white rose gold, brownish gold and gray. Since the HTC One E9 is a budget smartphone, it is expected to carry a price tag lower than $500.
