Last November, HTC One A9 was released in four colour variants including Carbon Gray, Opal Silver, Topaz Gold and Deep Garnet. The company has now added a fifth colour option to the list.

The Taiwanese company has announced the availability of a pink-coloured model of the HTC One A9 in its home country. The company has not yet confirmed if the new model will be available in other markets across the world. Starting Jan. 15, the Pink variant will be shipped only in Taiwan, reports GSM Arena.

The HTC One A9 comes packed with a 5-inch full HD 1,080p display. A 13MP camera at the back comes with f/2.0 aperture lens, phase-detection auto focus (PDAF), LED flash and optical image stabilisation (OIS). A 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor powers the device.

It is shipped with 2GB RAM or 3GB RAM paired with 16GB and 32GB internal storage options. The handset is also supported by microSD slot for memory expansion up to 2TB. A 2,150 mAh battery supported with Quick Charge 3.0 technology is also there to juice up the device.

HTC One A9 was the first non-Nexus handset to be launched with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS on board with HTC Sense UI on top. Recently, the device got updated to Android v6.0.1. The base 2GB variant costs NTD 14,900 (AU$634 or US$447) whereas the 3Gb model comes with a price tag of NTD 15,900 (AU$677 or US$478).

This week, HTC also announced the Deep Garnet of the premium mid-range handset on Vodafone UK. The handset is available at £29 (AU$60) a month with an upfront payment of just £9 (AU$19). This will enables owners to get 1GB of 4G data, 1,000 minutes of call time and unlimited texts.
