HTC, the world's No. 5 smartphone maker, said on Monday it would triple its China outlets to 2,000 by end of this year from 650 now. HTC has just confirmed that the HTC One A9 will be available in two variants, the 16 GB with 2 GB of RAM and the 32 GB with 3 GB of RAM. Unfortunately for consumers that live across the pond and are eyeing the model with bigger storage, the unit's 32 GB version is only going to be available in the United States.

Images of the device had first leaked in August. Based on these leaks, the One A9 features a design pretty much like Apple's iPhone 6 series, as Tech Times pointed out. It was even pictured right next to the Apple's flagship just to depict the similarity.

Details about the RAM configurations seem to have confused potential consumers. Apparently, it wasn’t specified on HTC's official website which particular configuration the consumer is about to purchase.

Jeff Gordon, Senior Global Online Communications Manager of HTC, took it upon himself to respond and inform potential American consumers. "The version of the HTC One A9 sold in the U.S. is 3 GB RAM/32 GB storage," he wrote on Twitter.

Now, those that want to get their hands on the device can pre-order the One A9 through its official link on the HTC's website. The device is going to be available at a price of about $562 -- whether it’s under Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile or a factory unlocked variant.

This is a very good offer and HTC has claimed this price is only going to be accessible for a limited time. After the promotional period is over, HTC is expected to jack up the phone’s price.

HTC's One A9 boasts of an all-metal case that gives the device a high-end and premium look. It features a 5-inch full HD Corning Gorilla Glass 4 screen display with a 1,920 x 1,080 pixels resolution and a pixel density of 440 ppi. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor and 3 GB of RAM for the 32 GB storage variant.
