HTC officially unleashed on Wednesday, June 19, the new HTC Butterfly S smart phone to impress the consumers with its bigger screen size compared to the HTC One, great quad-core processor and more battery life. HTC Butterfly S is scheduled to turn up at the Taiwan smart phone market in July with a price tag of NT$22,900 (US$766).

The Butterfly S appears to have the familiar build found on its predecessor, the HT Butterfly J, which is the 5-inch screen display with 1080p resolution. However, the new smart phone version stands out with the 1.9GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM and the power of a much longer-lasting 3200 mAH battery that the Taiwanese company highlighted on its marketing line of attack.

According to HTC, the HTC Butterfly S battery can last up to 3.5 days of continuous music playback compared to the 2020mAh battery capacity of the Butterfly J. The available internal storage capacity on the smart phone is 16GB that can be expanded with the provided microSD card slot.

Additionally, the HTC Butterfly S features the 4MP Ultrapixel camera similar to the 4.-inch HTC One smart phone with the HTC Zoe software and the 2.1MP front-facing camera capable of video calls. The HTC Ultrapixel camera design has the ability to capture images that are sharper compared to the rival smart phones.

The recently unveiled HTC smart phone will run on the Android Jelly Bean OS along with the most up-to-date version of the HTC Sense UI. Another impressive feature included is the HTC Blinkfeed which is a content feed service on the smartphone's home screen that delivers news, videos and photographs.

Aside from the HTC Butterfly S, the Taiwanese smart phone manufacturer unveiled as well another device called the HTC Desire which is a mid-range Android smart phone that sports a 4.5-inch screen display with 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor. The device is scheduled to arrive at the same time with the HTC Butterfly S in July in Taiwan with a price of NT$12,900 (US$430).
