The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2015 will begin on Jan. 6 at Las Vegas in the U.S. Many well-known brands will be present at the venue to unveil their new products. The Taiwanese tech giant, HTC, will be holding a pre-CES event press conference and it has already started sending out invitations for the event.

In the previous week, DigiTimes had reported that HTC will focus on releasing entry-level 4G handsets in the Q1 of 2015. GeekyGadgets claims that HTC may reveal some of them at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show 2015 or Mobile World Congress in March 2015.

One of the midrange HTC handsets that is expected to get announced at the CES event is A12. According to GSMArena, the HTC A12 features a 4.7-inch HD display, 64-bit Snapdragon 410 chipset carrying a quad-core processor gunning at 1.2 GHz along with 1 GB of RAM. It also features 8 MP primary camera and 1.2 MP frontal camera. The handset will be loaded with Android v4.4. KitKat overlaid with Sense UI. In the U.S, the handset will be made available through carriers like AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon Wireless.

Even though the Taiwanese tech company is going to focus of midrange handsets in the first quarter next year, speculations are rife that it is going to unveil the HTC One M9 flagship smartphone at the CES. According to GSMArena, an AnTuTu screenshot of HTC Hima (codename of HTC One M9) has surfaced that makes it all the more evident that the unveil of the flagship is drawing near.

It claims that the HTC One M9 will come with a 5-inch screen and like the predecessor model it will support full HD resolution. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 810 chipset that features a 64-bit octa-core processor and Adreno 430 graphics. The chipset is accompanied by 3 GB of RAM. There is a huge improvement in the camera module as it is expected to feature a 20.7 MP main camera and 13 MP selfie camera. It will come preloaded with Android 5.0.1 Lollipop build overlaid with Sense UI 7.0

Though some may feel that HTC may unveil the HTC One M9 flagship at CES 2015, there are other rumours that claim it will arrive during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 in March through a dedicated event in order to prevent the same platform with other flagships. The HTC One M8 was also announced through an exclusive event during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014 event.
