HP is now offering a new colour for its 14-inch Chromebook 14. By introducing this striking colour, it becomes apparent HP is trying to make a splash with its new, slim laptop.

The colour is a very bold sky blue. Chromebook 14 features a blue interior surface and a white lid. Although the new hue is its most noticeable change, the device does have other perks, as well.

HP's new Chromebook 14 has a two-year 100 GB Google Drive account, as well as three movie rentals on Google Play, according to CNET. Plus, consumers that fly often will be delighted to know the unit also comes with a full year's worth of free GoGo in-flight Internet service. This way, they can be connected to the Internet for absolutely no charge.

Chromebook 14 carries a price tag of $346 and is expected to be out in time for the holidays. This amount is $69 less than its price a year ago.

Tech Times noted, however, that just like its predecessors, the new Chromebook 14 doesn’t really do anything spectacular. It doesn’t permit a user to download and install Mac and Windows software.

Plus, the storage space it offers isn’t much, either. Still, it’s worth noting the device does make for a solid, low cost option, especially for users only after efficient Google Chrome web browsing.

Chromebook 14's 14-inch screen features a 1,920 x 1,080 pixels resolution, as well as a 1,366 x 768 IPS display. It also sports 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of onboard storage.

There are also three USB ports: one USB 3.0 port and two USB 2.0 ports. Moreover, there’s an HDMI outlet, too. All of these features can be enjoyed for 9.25 hours on the device’s battery.
