Flashing Instructions

1. Connect your Sony Xperia Go to the computer using a USB cable.

2. Copy and paste the CyanogenMod 11 Android 4.4 and Google Apps package to the phone's storage. Do not extract the zip files and simply place them at the root storage, not in other folders.

3. Disconnect your Xperia Go then turn it off.

4. Recovery into recovery mode by pressing the 'power' key while hitting the 'volume up' key continuously until you see the blue splash screen and feel the vibrations.

5. Inside the recovery mode, create an Android backup of the current ROM running the device. Select "backup and restore > backup" to save a copy of the ROM. You may restore it anytime. Use the volume keys to navigate and power button to select.

6. Perform a full wipe in your smartphone. Select "wipe data/factory reset" and "wipe cache partition" then "advanced > wipe Dalvik cache."

7. Install the CyanogenMod 11 by selecting "install zip from SD card > choose zip from SD card > find the firmware you've pasted earlier > confirm installation." Apple the same with Google Apps package.

8. After the installation, go back to the main menu then select "reboot system now."

9. Your Sony Xperia Go will restart and may take up to 5 minutes before reaching the home screen.

Congratulations! Sony Xperia Go is now running Android 4.4 KitKat with the help of CyanogenMod 11 custom ROM.
