LiquidSmooth Android 4.4.4 KitKat for LG Nexus 4 is an Android Open Source Project based custom ROM that features lightweight system. Features such as SlimPie, Quiet Hours, lock screen style, notification reminder, custom tiles and more are included on this custom firmware.

Requirements

1. Install this custom firmware to the LG Nexus 4 with an unlocked bootloader.

2. Root the LG Nexus 4 and install a custom recovery such as ClockworkMod.

3. Create a manual backup of all data files and personal settings before proceeding.

4. Battery level must be at least 70 percent to prevent power interruption during installation.

5. Enable USB debugging mode on the device and download the necessary USB drivers on the computer.

6. Download the LiquidSmooth Android 4.4.4 KitKat custom ROM and the Google Apps package to the computer.

Warning: We are not responsible for any errors that may occur on the device. Read and follow the instructions to prevent damaging the device. Do this at your own risk.

Flashing Instructions

1. Connect the LG Nexus 4 to the computer using a USB cable.

2. Copy and paste to the LiquidSmooth Android 4.4.4 custom ROM and the Google Apps zip files to the internal storage of Nexus 4. No need to extract the zip files.

3. Turn off the LG Nexus 4 and disconnect it from the computer.

4. Reboot into Bootloader mode by pressing and holding the Volume Up, Volume Down and Power keys at the same time.

5. Select Bootloader and then choose Recovery.

6. Inside the Recovery mode, create a nAndroid backup of the current ROM by selecting "backup and restore > backup." Using the "restore" option will revert back the smartphone to the saved ROM.

7. Perform a full wipe on the device by selecting "wipe data/factory reset" and "wipe cache partition." Then go to "advanced > wipe Dalvik cache."

8. Install the custom ROM by selecting "install zip from SD card > choose zip from SD card > select the LiquidSmooth zip file downloaded earlier > confirm installation." Apply the same with the Google Apps zip file.

9. Once the installation has been completed, go back to the main menu and select "reboot system now."

10. LG Nexus 4 will reboot and may take up to five minutes before reaching the home screen.
