AMD CEO spilled the likely official launching of the next generation Windows 10 OS for computers. But Microsoft intends to send out the new software via free update to allow users on upgrading from Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1.

Getting The Next Generation Windows 10 Operating System

There are two ways in order to get the free Windows 10 software from Microsoft. It is compatible for machines running Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. Users can give a try of the Technical Preview to test the new features and give feedbacks helping Microsoft improve the final software build.

1. Visit and sign up to the Windows Insider Program then read the system requirements of Windows 10 Technical Preview.

2. Download the ISO file appropriate to your language and territory by clicking here.

3. Users will need to burn the ISO file to a blank DVD or copy it to a USB flash drive.

4. Click on the “setup.exe” from the installation media and follow steps prompted on the display screen.

Users must back up everything stored on the machine to ensure safety of data files because the Technical Preview of Windows 10 can have unexpected PC crashes. Automatic updates are also constant on the Technical Preview and should not be installed on an everyday computer.

For the final version of the Windows 10, Forbes reported that Microsoft plans to send it automatically for machines running Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. However, it is only free of cost within the first year of its release.

1. Prepare the machine for Windows 10 by creating backup of all data files, programs and other information stored.

2. Connect the machine to the Internet.

3. Go to the Control Panel and select Windows Update.

4. Download and install the new software.

Download time of Windows 10 might take longer than expected which could lead for Microsoft to use peer-to-peer connection to deliver the huge software and access pre-downloaded updates from another machine to reduce installation time. Windows 10 have been reported to feature the Start menu, native Virtual Desktops, voice assistant Cortana and Continuum to change between Desktop and Tablet modes.
