The winter finale episode of “How to Get Away with Murder” (HTGAWM) Season 2 has set up the storylines in the upcoming second-half episodes. Series creator Peter Nowalk and cast member Charlie Weber (Frank Delfino) tease on the outcome of the events that happened at the Hapstall mansion in “How to Get Away with Murder” Season 2, episode 9 titled “What Did We Do?”

Spoiler Alert: This feature contains major “How to Get Away with Murder” Season 2 spoilers.

In an interview with TVLine, Nowalk teased that filming “How to Get Away with Murder” Season 2 is currently underway. Some of the storylines that HTGAWM viewers can expect in the second-half episodes of season 2 include Wes Gibbins’ past, the Hapstall case, Bonnie Winterbottom (Liza Weil) and Frank’s loyalty to Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) and Asher Millstone’s new path.

The flashback scene in “How to Get Away with Murder” Season 2, episode 9 has given the viewers a glimpse on the connection between Annalise and Wes Gibbins/Christophe (Alfred Enoch). It is speculated that Wes killed his mom, and Annalise covered it up with help of Eve Rothlow (Famke Janssen) or Annalise and Eve killed Wes’ mom and made it look like a suicide.

“Those are all the right questions to be asking, and those are all possible, but there are other possibilities, too — things I can’t say. We’re asking the same questions, but we have a theory right now and I think it’s pretty cool,” Nowalk told TVLine.

The Hapstall case is still unresolved but Nowalk has assured that the upcoming episodes will reveal more on the storyline of HTGAWM characters Philip Jessup (Jefferson White), Caleb (Kendrick Sampson) and Catherine Hapstall (Amy Okuda). In the winter finale episode, Philip is looking for Catherine to the point that he also went to the Hapstall mansion.

Nowalk teased that Philip might have driven off or also witnessed everything that happened at the Hapstall mansion that night. “Who the hell knows. That Philip is tricky. Philip is a big hanging chad in our show. So is Levi. So is Catherine,” Nowalk added.

The fans will also find out in the upcoming “How to Get Away with Murder” Season 2 episodes if Annalise’s plan worked or everyone will be totally screwed. Nowalk revealed that he hopes to wrap up on the Hapstall mystery because it is not his goal to leave a case like that hanging for too long.

As for Asher Millstone (Matt McGorry), Nowalk explained that the HTGWAM character was already on his path to Hell ever since A.D.A. Emily Sinclair (Sarah Burns) used him as a mole. Nowalk teased that Asher’s scene at the police station could be a part of the plan or he will really confess everything that happened that night.

Bonnie and Frank’s loyalty to Annalise is another storyline expected to be explored in “How to Get Away with Murder” Season 2 second-half episodes. In the winter finale episode, Bonnie has already reached the point that she does not want to be involved in Annalise’s plans anymore when she told Frank that they can’t keep on covering things up.

In “How to Get Away with Murder” Season 2, episode 10, cast member Charlie Weber teased in an interview with People that the fans will still see a couple more pieces of what happened at the Hapstall mansion and the difficulties that Frank will face in pulling off Annalise’s plan when “How to Get Away with Murder” Season 2 returns on Feb. 11, 2016 at 10/9c on ABC.
