‘How to Get Away With Murder’ Episode 13 Spoilers: Annalise’s Shocking Past Gets Revealed In Penultimate Segment [VIDEO]

“How To Get Away With Murder” Season 1 is nearing its end. This week the show will feature Episode 13 titled “Mama’s Here Now,” which delves deeper into Sam’s death, Lila’s murder case and a rape case. It happens to be the penultimate episode of ABC’s latest thriller. Here are a few spoilers for the upcoming segment. [Warning: Spoilers Alert!]

In the last-aired episode, the police made a shocking discovery of Sam’s remains. Sam’s sister Hannah tells the police that Annalise, Sam’s wife, is the murderer. Meanwhile, Annalise takes up the new case of a powerful mob family, The Lombardos.

In the court, Hannah tells the judge of the incident when Annalise hit Sam on his head with a paperweight. During the search at Annalise’s house, the police does not find anything significant except for the scales from the trophy. However, Bonnie becomes suspicious and tells Annalise that she knows that the students are responsible for Sam’s murder. The next day, the police returns with an evidence that they found from the woods. They discovered Sam’s ring with a fingerprint of Annalise’s boyfriend, Nate Lahey, on it.

Moving on to episode 13, “Mama’s Here Now,” ABC reports some spoilers. According to the report, fans are going to meet a new character this week. Annalise’s mother arrives and provides support to her daughter as Annalise deals with the burden of guilt.

Meanwhile, there is a case of client-accused of rape. While Annalise is caught up with the investigation of Sam and Lila’s murder, Bonnie steps forward to work on the case. In the upcoming episode, Tony Award winner Cicely Tyson will make her “How to Get Away With Murder” debut as Annalise’s mother.

The network has released a promo video (as published on YouTube by Television Promos), giving a glimpse of the events of episode 13 of “How to Get Away With Murder.” The video shows Annalise’s mother questioning her: “Did you do it?” The video also gives a glimpse of violent Sam attacking Annalise.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly about Cicely Tyson’s character Ophelia and her relationship with Annalise, the show’s creator Pete Nowalk said, “She did not expect her to go off and marry a white man. As a matter of fact, she warned her about him.” As mentioned in the interview, viewers can expect to see a different side of Annalise in episode 13. Fans will get a glimpse of a “very raw, childlike side to Annalise” as the show digs deeper into Annalise’s past.
