Claire Danes, Alex Gansa, Many Patinkin and the rest of the “Homeland” crew kicked off the Emmys season with what could be the greatest achievement of Season 6. The season featured a female president in office, which meant they might have been counting on Hillary Clinton to win back then. But it says little about this Emmy-winning drama living up to expectations when such did not happen.

After delivering a great season 6, fans are now closer to the action now that a season 7 trailer has dropped. A new clip takes viewers to Carrie’s next adventure. It looks like she will be somewhere oddly familiar in season 7.

The three-time Golden Globe-winning and six-time Emmy-winning show’s sixth season will be coming to Blu-Ray and DVD, notes Female First. The collection also shows exclusive behind-the-scenes videos. Throughout the events of the sixth season, viewers got to see things pick up after the ups and down from the fifth season, which follows the election of the new President of the United States.

After being almost everywhere, Carrie is back in American soil and is working in Brooklyn, New York. She has been working at a foundation that provides assistance for exploited Muslims in the USA. This is where her ideals get challenged as she goes through cases where she would have to pick between her job and what she has been fighting for.

When asked about what to expect for season 7, showrunner Alex Gansa said that the season 6 finale dropped some major hints. However, one thing that should happen is that Carrie Mathison will be back in the intelligence business. Gansa said Carrie has been out for too long and needs to get her game on again.

This upcoming season of “Homeland” will air later this 2017 on Showtime in the US. It will also air in Australia on Channel TEN.
