“Home and Away” recap

On Wednesday, Kat recounted to Officer McCarthy what happened at Salt. She said that the customer went out of line, which is why she held him down and accidentally broke his nose. His former boss harshly reminded her that she’s not a cop anymore and that she can’t go around acting like one. Fortunately, the charges were dropped. Outside, Ash was waiting for Kat. Feeling sorry for herself and frustrated about what’s happening with her life, he lashed out at him and told him to leave her alone. Later, Ash went up to her and told her that committing honest mistakes means she’s a good person and that’s what it makes her more beautiful. Kat secretly smiled.

Meanwhile, Roo has another idea to spice up Leah and Zac’s marriage. She suggested that the two go on a “blind date” – pretend that they don’t know each other as they have lunch the next day. Zac became excited with the idea of “meeting” Leah again for the first time. During the “blind date,” John struggled playing his part, but everyone else were totally into their own roles. Zac and Leah’s plan worked out pretty well, just like their separation experiment did.

While things are going well with Zac and Leah, the same cannot be said with his son. Zac had to inform Hunter that he’ll fail if he doesn’t accept the consequences of hacking the school system and changing his mark. Hunter insisted that he didn’t do it – Tabitha did. He walked off and bumped into Olivia. Hunter recounted what happened and said he won’t take the blame for something he didn’t do. He again repeated that Tabitha did it, but Olivia said her friend’s not that crazy. When Olivia looked over, however, she saw Tabitha wearing the exact same clothes and hairstyle, creeping Olivia out. She told Tabitha to quit it, but when Tabitha started crying, Olivia softened and invited her for dinner.

At home, Olivia made Tabitha admit that she did use Zac’s password to hack into the system and change Hunter’s marks. She also said that she changed Olivia’s, raising it by a few points. Olivia was upset, but she pretended she’s okay with it. What Tabitha didn’t know was that Olivia recorded their whole conversation, which she later let Zac hear. Zac then informed Hunter about this new development, and the teen was happy learning that Olivia went to all that trouble to prove his innocence.

Hunter went over to Olivia’s to inform her that he’s off the hook, thanks to her. He thanked her for what she did, then confessed that he still loves her. She admitted that she feels the same way. The two kissed, just in time for Tabitha to show up. The weird girl totally lost it – she can’t believe that Olivia played a game on her and then hooked up with Tyler. Tabitha accused Hunter of brainwashing Olivia, issued grave threats, then stormed off.

Later, Tabitha sneaked into Hunter’s trailer and cuddled beside him in his bed. It was dark – with Tabitha looking exactly like Olivia, Hunter thought he’s making out with his ex-girlfriend. Soon enough, Hunter realised his mistake. He turned the lights on and confirmed that it’s Tabitha, not Olivia. Tabitha accused him of betraying Olivia and threatened to tell her about what happened.
