“Home and Away” recap

In the previous episode, Leah rushed to the school after Zac informed her about the school fire. Zac reckoned that a student started it, and later found out that the locker – where the fire began – was Tabitha’s. When Evie discussed the incident with Matt and Elly, he noticed that his sister looked bothered about it. Later, he searched Elly’s bag and saw a lighter. She caught him and denied it was hers. Matt confronted her about starting the fire and she confessed, saying it was an accident. She said she was trying to burn her assignment but things went too far. Matt blew his top, but she begged him not to say anything.

Later, Leah invited Matt over for dinner, where they discussed the school fire. Matt innocently asked Zac about the development, and he said the school authorities believe it was Tabitha who did it since it’s her locker. The next day, Evie and Irene talks about Tabitha and Matt felt guilty as they pinned the fire on her. He got worried when Irene said the school wants to involve the cops. Matt shared the truth with Evie, who urged him to do the right thing. He heeded Evie’s advice and talked to Zac about it. At home, instead of being angry at her brother, Elly hugged Justin and thanked him for turning her in.

Justin confided in on Brody about Phoebe, saying that she’s driving him crazy about Hope. However, he didn’t go into details. Later, it was Phoebe’s turn to rant to Brody, and she told him about what happened with John. Brody remembered seeing Hope’s phone already broken earlier. He wanted to set things straight, but Phoebe said she’s done trying with Justin – especially if he’d rather believe a dodgy person he just met rather than her. Still, Brody told Justin the truth, leaving the later utterly stunned. Later, Justin said sorry to Phoebe and explained his side. Phoebe accepted and agreed to let Hope and Raffy stay. However, things still didn’t seem alright between Phoebe and Justin.

Meanwhile, Marilyn surprised John with a breakfast by the boat. He was feeling down since Chris left, and she thought it might cheer him up. John was, in fact, ecstatic with Marilyn’s sweetness. However, their romantic moment was interrupted when John suddenly fainted and fell to the ground. Marilyn screamed for help.
