It’s going to be another emotional day for Summer Bay residents on the upcoming episode of “Home and Away.” On Wednesday, Leah Patterson-Baker (Ada Nicodemou) and VJ Patterson (Matthew Little) realise that they need to do what’s best for Luc.

They have come to accept that their home is not ideal to raise the baby – VJ needs to focus more on his studies, while Leah is still nursing a broken heart from Zac Macguire’s (Charlie Clausen) cheating incident. In the soap’s preview video, VJ insists that he should be the one taking care of the baby but his mum manages to convince him otherwise. The two are seen bringing Luc and his things to Irene’s (Lynne McGranger) house. The upcoming episode also features Alf Stewart (Ray Meagher), John Palmer (Shane Withington), Marilyn Chambers (Emily Symons), Justin Morgan/Jack Lee (James Stewart), Brody Morgan/Bart Lee (Jackson Heywood) and Mason Morgan/Michael Lee (Orpheus Pledger).

Back to the Bay reports that Wednesday’s episode also shows that things are finally looking better for John and Marilyn, until a phone call ruins their happiness. Justin, on the other hand, discovers the reason for Brody’s odd behaviour. In Seven Network’s sneak peek of the March 22 episode, Brody is seen stressing out with the arrival of the restaurant reviewers. He snaps at his brothers, who were goofing around at the restaurant.

Later, Brody can’t seem to handle all the pressure and gives in to the temptation of drugs. Instead of helping him, however, the drugs made things worse when he becomes rude at the reviewer for criticising the food he prepared.

“Home and Away” recap

In the previous episode, Leah was crushed to hear Zac’s confession about sleeping with his editor. He clarified that it only happened once and that he’d do anything to take it back. As they were talking, Luc started crying and Leah rushed to take care of the baby. She took Luc outside, where she broke down and cried her heart out. The next day, Zac returned home and told Leah that he wants to sort things out with her but she didn’t want to and ordered him to leave. Later, Leah bumped into Matt Page (Alec Snow) and she realised that he knew what happened between Zac and Sam Webster (Cheree Cassidy), making her more upset.

When Evelyn “Evie” MacGuire (Philippa Northeast) got wind of things, she said they can’t leave Summer Bay without Matt reconciling with Leah. Evie also took time to talk to Zac and encouraged him to fight for Leah. Meanwhile, Matt apologised to Leah, who forgave him. Later, it was time for Matt, Evie and Ellie to leave town and head off to Vietnam.

Elsewhere, VJ had another incident with Luc – while he was busy studying for his exam, she won’t stop crying. He tried to calm himself down but the stress got to him and he ended up smashing a coffee mug toward the baby’s direction. Leah rushed in and took the baby to comfort her. She started to realise things are getting too much for VJ and it’s affecting the baby. Leah told VJ perhaps it’s best to accept Irene’s offer to take care of Luc.

John realised the extensive damage of the bushfire when he visited the caravan park. He saw all the families having no choice but to live there because they lost their homes. Later, he shared to Marilyn what he saw and blamed himself again for the fire victims’ sufferings. He felt terribly guilty and wanted to make things right for them. The next day, John went back to the caravan park to apologise to everyone for what happened. He delivered a touching speech and offered to help in any way he can.

The show also stars Nate Cooper (Kyle Pryor), Tori Morgan/Tessa Lee (Penny McNamee), Katarina Chapman (Pia Miller), Martin “Ash” Ashford (George Mason), Hunter King (Scott Lee), Olivia Richards (Raechelle Banno), Phoebe Nicholson (Isabella Giovinazzo) and Raffy Morrison ( Olivia Deeble).
