"Home and Away" recap

On Monday, Irene was seen tied up on chair, and her abductor brought her breakfast. When she said she wanted to go home, his son grew livid, insisting that Chris and Olivia were not her flesh and blood. He also said they were rude, not replying to the messages he sent on her behalf. He threatened that he’ll teach them a lesson, and said he’s planning a get-together. Meanwhile, in her desperate attempts to search Irene, Olivia set up a social media account to track her. Kat didn’t agree with this, saying it would make the situation worse. Unknown to them, Mick was watching them and listening to what they’re saying.

When Olivia walked outside, Mick followed her and told her he was the one who sent her the photos. He invited Olivia to go inside the car so he could show her where Irene was. Olivia reluctantly rode the car. Just as he was going to the driver’s seat, she dropped her phone to the car floor, escaped the vehicle and ran away. She rushed to Chris and told him what happened. Olivia borrowed her phone and revealed to Chris her plan: she’s using her phone to track the guy down. The two then went to the police station and told Kat about the guy. While Olivia and Chris insisted of going with the police to hunt down Irene’s abductor, Kat brushed them off and said it was too dangerous.

Elsewhere, Mick heard Olivia’s phone ringing from his car. He panicked when he saw it on the floor. Knowing that the police will be there soon enough, he went ballistic. Irene tried to calm him down and attempted to convince him to free her. However, he continued to be angry with the fact that she’s protecting Olivia and not him, claiming he’s her son. He said they’d have to change their plans now. Later, the police went to the house where Mick was keeping Irene but they found it empty. Kat found Olivia’s phone on the table and knew that Mick figured out what Olivia did. Despite Kat’s orders, Olivia and Chris followed the police. Kat told them that Mick and Irene moved to another location. Irene and Mick were seen walking along the bushland, and he said they’re going somewhere people won’t find them.

At the hospital, Nate reiterated to Roo that Alf’s condition could be dire and that they need to be prepared for it. He advised her to get proper sleep and decent meal so she’d have energy when he finally comes to. She heeded his advice and went home. Later, Marilyn came back from her Europe trip and visited Alf. When she placed her hand on his, she was surprised to see him respond. She immediately called Nate to say Alf is waking up. Roo came rushing in to the hospital as soon as she heard about Alf’s development. She saw Marilyn and they hugged. Despite being weak, Alf started to talk. Nate put him through a couple of verbal and physical tests, and they found out that the stroke affected Alf’s movement on the right side of his body.

Later, Marilyn went to John’s to surprise him with her arrival. He enveloped her in a warm embrace and gushed about how good she looked. She shared with John about Alf’s development.
