But there is one big problem - to reclaim the treasures of his land they have get through Smaug - a dragoon who hoarded the treasures. In their journey the gang met a host of friends and foes, including a new character played by Evangeline Lilly, Tauriel - the first character in the series that is wholly invented by Peter Jackson.

The premiere was hosted by Dave Karver and his co-host Amy Paffrath who will be interviewing fans for the premiere. The whole event was really cool when most of the characters in the movie are unrecognizable in the black carpet.
