Hilary Duff has recalled how Sophie Monk saved her after a car accident. The former Disney star said the Australian singer appeared “like an angel” when she needed help.

Duff, 26, is in Australia to promote her latest single “All About You.” She stopped by the radio station 2DayFM for a chat with Sophie in her breakfast show with Jules Lund and Merrick Watts.

She told the presenters how Sophie became her saviour after she had been involved in an accident.

“I had a car accident and Sophie comes out of nowhere on a rainy day in L.A., like an angel,” Duff recalled. “This girl hit me, she rear-ended me and tried to run. And Sophie took her car and blocked her off.

“I’m like, ‘Sophie?’ and she’s like, ‘Oh my God, Hilary!’”

Duff and Monk each dated a Madden twin years ago. Duff started going out with Joel Madden in 2004 before breaking up with him in 2006. Monk, on the other hand, dated Benji Madden and had even become engaged to him. However, their relationship ended in 2008.

“We were dating twins. Does that mean we’re part of some weird sisterhood or something,” Duff quipped, adding that Monk was “always cool when I wanted to trade” their twin boyfriends.

Duff’s interview will air on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Duff reportedly contacted the FBI over the recent massive celebrity nude pictures leak. Her nude photos were apparently included in the hacked files carried out by an anonymous 4Chan hacker, although her rep has denied the images are authentic.

Her rep told TMZ that they have examined the pictures and concluded that they are fake. They have already contacted the FBI about the matter, saying that anyone who publicly claims that the photos are Hilary’s is “going to meet legal recourse.”

The massive hacked nude celebrity photo scandal involves dozens of female celebrities of today, including Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, Victoria Justice and Teresa Palmer.
