Henry Cavill who plays Superman in the upcoming “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” recently spoke about increasing popularity of Superhero movies.

During the promotion of “The Man from U.N.C.L.E," the actor said to Judao, that superhero movies genre have gained much eminence this year. “I think it’s anything, which is prevalent and on top people are going to complain about. At the moment, the superhero genre is the most prevalent genre out there despite the fact that the spy genre is so strong this year.”

He added that superhero genre is going to be the primary movie genre for years to come and all other movie genres will be secondary to it. According to the actor spy genre is secondary this year.

Cavill’s recently release “The Man from U.N.C.L.E” is a spy film. He stars as the CIA agent Napoleon Solo. The actor will also reprise his role of much popular superhero, Superman from “Man of Steel” in Zack Snyder’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. ” And reportedly Superman and Solo are two roles, which Cavill does not mind playing in the upcoming years.

He previously told The Guardian that he could play Superman for the “rest of his life.” He apparently wants to explore various aspect of his character as according to him there is “huge potential there for complex storytelling.”

Speaking about Solo he said he could play the character every year. It seems Cavill is thrilled to be a part of superhero as well as a spy film.

“The Man from UNCLE has received mixed response at the box office. The film has made $60.3 million till date. It was made in the budget of $75 million. Meanwhile, “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is scheduled to be released on Mar.25, 2016. It also stars Ben Affleck as Batman.
