The article on the Chicago Tribune will cause some trouble for Durant in “Hell on Wheels” Season 5 episode 7 titled "False Prophets." The owner of the Union Pacific will have to explain his position clearly to the President in a meeting, which will also be attended by Cullen. [Spoiler Alert!]

The big question of where the terminus for the Union Pacific railroad has been a subject of much debate on the show, and Durant (Colm Meaney) has been trying to find ways to make more money by making false promises about the location of the terminus. The newspaper article that accused Durant of swindling money has made President Grant (Victor Slezak) to take notice and call a meeting.

The promo video of the next episode of the TV series shows a scene featuring Grant having a meeting with Durant and Collis Huntington (Tim Guinee) of the Central Pacific Railroad Company. Durant confirms that his company will be building the railroad south of Salt Lake and hints that the newspaper article is based on lies by saying that a journalist will do anything to sell newspapers.

The meeting in the next episode of “Hell on Wheels” will also be attended by Brigham Young (Gregg Henry), who has a contract with the Central Pacific for the railroad and an assurance that it will be built south of Salt Lake. Collis will finally confess that his company is building the railroad north of Salt Lake and terms his breach of contract as a “misunderstanding.”

Durant wants Central Pacific to halt all construction pending a full investigation, while Collis accuses Durant of corporate espionage. Brigham shares with the President a map of the Central Pacific that he had received from Durant in the previous episode, and Collis is suspicious about how Brigham acquired the map.

AMC has shared a video clip from the previous episode titled “Hungry Ghosts,” showing how Durant gave the map the Brigham. The scene is said to be the most talked-about event from the previous episode.

Durant will also come face to face with Cullen Bohannon (Anson Mount) in the next episode. The two characters have not met each other in a long time and Durant was not happy about Cullen joining his rival company. Meanwhile, President Grant will set the route and the meeting point between the two railroads in the next episode of "Hell on Wheels.”
