One of the world's greatest boxers and an iconic figure in sports world, Mike Tyson, has revealed a vulnerable side to the public. In a radio talk show, the boxer revealed that he has been abused sexually as a child.

In an interview at the Opie Radio Show, Tyson revealed that he was only seven years old when he was snatched from the streets of Brooklyn and sexually abused by an unknown man. "He bullied me, sexually abused me and stuff... snatched me off the street," narrated the boxer. "I was a little kid. Never seen him again."

The famous boxer, who is known worldwide for biting off his opponent's ear, confessed that he ran away from his attacker as soon as he could, but did not inform the police about the incident, as told by the Independent. He admitted that although he only remembers the incident from time to time, he shared his experience to show that he is not ashamed or embarrassed of having gone through such.

The boxer was present on the Opie Radio Show this week to promote his new series 'Mike Tyson Mysteries'. The revelations came when he and the show's host began discussing people's perception of him as one of the greatest boxers in the world and probably the toughest man alive today.

As per ABC news, the emotion brought about by the past incident can be seen on the boxer's face as he recalled the horrific experience. The hosts, Opie and Jim Norton, were obviously caught off guard by such revelations from the boxer himself on their show.

Tyson is one of the most popular and recognizable boxer in the whole world. The 48-year-old undisputed heavyweight champion holds several records under his belt. Right from the start of his bright career, he was under limelight and had been hailed a controversy king.

In 1991, the heavyweight boxer was arrested for the rape of an 18-year-old Miss Black America contestant in his hotel room. The boxer was sentenced to six years in prison and four years on probation. After coming out of prison, his first comeback fight was covered everywhere by the media and saw a record number of viewership. The 89-second fight was deemed as one of the greatest TV sports event of all time.
