"The Vampire Dairies" star Nina Dobrev turns 26-years-old on Jan. 9, 2015. The stunning actress was awarded the People's Choice Award for Favourite TV Duo a day before. Nina shared the award with her co-actor and ex-boyfriend Ian Somehalder. Though the duo broke up in 2013, they are still the favourite among the fans of the hit television series TVD, which is currently running into its sixth season. To mark her 26th birthday, here are some fun facts about the gorgeous actress.

1. Nina is Bulgarian and Canadian. Nina was born in Sofia, Bulgaria but when she was two, she and her family moved to Toronto, Ontario in Canada.
