Today is a big day for the Duchess of Cambridge as she celebrates her 30th birthday for the first time a member of the Royal Family.

Born on Jan.9, 1982, Catherine Middleton, or more popularly known as Kate Middleton, the wife of Prince William, just turned 30 and the whole world is excited to find out what The Duchess did on her birthday.

It is safe to say that this might be the most talked-about birthday that Kate Middleton had, especially that it is no secret that her sister, Pippa, is a professional party planner. In a separate report, it was revealed that the younger Middleton planned an 80's theme birthday party for The Duchess.

The party, which was said to be attended by close friends and family, featured a karaoke machine that will allow Kate to sing her favorite tracks from the decade she was born.

"Kate needs to enjoy herself while she can, though, so she can be forgiven for belting out a few Duran Duran and Madonna numbers on her birthday" says a source in the same post.

Now that The Duchess is nearing the period of her solo public appearances, her birthday bash might be one of the few moments that she gets to be laid back-for now. Just yesterday, it was announced that Middleton will take over Lady Diana's special Army Regimen and will be granted the position of Colonel-In Chief.
