The release of "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" for the Xbox One was sadly welcomed with disappointments. Following its launch on Nov. 11, gamers were expecting to re-live some of the greatest multiplayer experiences to ever hit the "Halo" franchise. However, the game ran into issues, and gamers are crying for free gifts while they await the fix. Nonetheless, updates will soon be released, and 343 Industries General Manager Bonnie Ross recently addressed this concern.

In an open letter on Halowaypoint, Ross admitted the release of "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" for the Xbox One has "not delivered the experience" gamers deserve. On behalf of 343 Industries, she also apologised for the issues players encountered in the game including "long matchmaking times and low session success rates." Ross claimed these were unexpected issues since they were initially not detected in the game's internal test environment.

Gamespot claims various patches released over the past week to fix the gameplay still didn't improve the overall gaming experience. It supposedly did not resolve the issues and only made them worse. However, Ross assured fixes are continually being worked on. Xbox and 343 are reportedly working together to "analyse all data to make ongoing server-side adjustments to continually improve the matchmaking experience." Besides the fix, Ross assured additional content updates will be released for the Xbox One version of "Halo: The Master Chief Collection."

"We are also preparing additional content updates that will address existing campaign, UI and other issues to improve the overall experience. With each update we will carefully analyse data to confirm that the improvements we're seeing internally are also happening with fans at home," she said.

Ross claimed the latest content update will be released later this week. This patch will reportedly contain a fix to resolve the issues on both sides: the server and the game itself.

Inquisitr supposed 343 Industries could compensate disappointed players with free gifts. Speaking of content updates for the Xbox One version of "Halo: The Master Chief Collection," the site claims one of these free gifts could be an extended version of "Halo 5: Guardians" multiplayer beta. Additionally, Halowaypoint forums are filled with gamers' request for compensation for the delayed fix. User AnonomissX claims a free one-month gold subscription would suffice, while others demand for a free DLC while waiting for the fix.
