"Halo: The Master Chief Collection" is one of the most awaited titles of 2014, and Microsoft and 343 Industries has just announced that the collection has finally gone gold. This means that the official long and winding road of the "Halo" journey has reached a pretty big milestone.

Another milestone that fans should get excited about is the fact that the collection can be preordered and pre-downloaded at this very moment. Announced over the Xbox Wire, fans can already have the game ready so that they can start playing on the release date.

For those who are not in North America, the developer also has great news. Instead of the discrepancy in release dates, which is Nov. 11 for North America and Nov. 14 in other territories, the developer has adjusted the dates so that most of the "Halo" fans around the world can enjoy the game on Nov. 11.

Some of the countries that won't make it to the adjustment includes Belgium, which will get the "Halo: The Master Chief Collection on Nov. 12, Japan on Nov. 13 and France on Nov. 14. The collection will be taking up 45 GB, with content updates expected to be at around 20 GB, as the developer expects that work will be done even on the release date itself to ensure that the title is optimised to its fullest potential.

"One caveat we wanted to share is that Spartan Ops, our episodic coop experience from Halo 4, will now release in December. All 10 episodes will be available at the same time, so we're working to make an event out of it with our Community teams," Dan Ayoub of 343 Industries said over at the Xbox Wire.

Apart from the new details, 343 Industries has also revealed that there will be a documentary coming for the "Halo" franchise. Titled "Remaking the Legend - Halo 2: Anniversary," VG 24/7 reports that the documentary will be delving into the development phase of the title. The documentary will also be in the Master Chief Collection.

According to the report, fans can play both the remastered "Halo 2" and the classic edition of the title, as well as switch between the two versions. The new documentary announcement can be seen in the video below.
