This is the season where everyone is into dressing up like their favorite scary character.

This is the time to sit back and relax - if one can - with the famous Hollywood movies that will make anyone scream in celebration of the spooky season. Do you have any of these movies, which you watch during the "Trick or Treat" season with your friends and family? If you do have a certain movie, here is a list of the scariest movies that would surely have you screaming - that is if you haven't seen them yet.

1. Amityville Horror

The scary part about this movie is that is it based on a true story. There is nothing that beats the phrase "based on a true story" and so even if the scary effects are minimal, if this happens where you live, it won't feel like it's just a joke.

This movie is based on a true story about a house that was used by a "Pastor" to kill slaves way back when racial discrimination was evident. It seems like the house is still haunted and it is a great movie to watch.

2. Insidious

This movie is great! It has everything in the movie because it certainly tackles everything from cute scary to pretty scary. This movie will have you on the edge of your seat as it is every bit hair-raising. The best part about the movie is that it has a great storyline.

3. The Conjuring

Another movie that is based on a true story which would have you screaming your lungs out as this movie is certainly something to watch. A cool story that is based on a home way back and a family that moves in to a place where they had gotten more than what they thought they would get. After watching it, we suggest that you throw away any dolls you have at home.

4. The Blair Witch Project

Before there was paranormal activity, a documentary type movie that would try to capture a certain scary adventure or phenomena on video, there was the "Blair Witch Project". This movie created the scare about Witches that dwelled in the forest. The documentary type video was said to be based on a true story about 3 teens that went camping in the forest to learn about the "Blair Witch" and this was the horror film that ruled the 90's.

5. Insidious 2

If you loved the first one then you would love this one as well. The storyline gets even better and you would surely appreciate the actors, the story and the superb scares that this movie would give you.
