Halle Berry's Husband Olivier Martinez Charged With Battery After An Airport Scuffle [Watch Video]

Halle Berry’s husband Olivier Martinez is being investigated for battery. According to recent reports, Martinez is being accused of pushing a LAX employee to the ground during an altercation at Tom Bradley International Terminal on Jan. 6.

According to reports from New York Daily, the incident happened when a LAX employee got into paparazzo mode and got too close in an attempt to take a picture of the famous couple. Berry and Martinez were exiting from the airport with their kids, 1-year-old Maceo and Berry's 6-year-old daughter Nahla, in tow, when a LAX employee took out his camera and started taking photographs.

Martinez was leading the family, followed by Berry who held their son tightly while Nahla too stayed close to her mother. Martinez, who was carrying a car seat at that time, used it as a shield and pushed the unidentified employee away who fell to the ground.

Following the scuffle, Martinez, Berry and the kids were hurried out of the airport as they got surrounded by aggressive photographers who were accusing them of assault. “Violence in front of children! I hope he doesn’t hit you at home,” shouted one photographer, as reported by US Weekly.

The whole incident is caught on tape by TMZ in which the LAX employee can be seen sitting on the ground after the jolt. The employee was taken to hospital immediately after complaints of abdominal pain and who later filed a battery report against the star.

This is not the first time that 48-year-old French actor has gotten involved in a scuffle. In November 2012, he was rushed to the hospital after sustaining injuries in a fistfight with Canadian model and Berry’s former partner Gabriel Aubry. Aubry is the father of Berry’s first-born kid Nahla, and the altercation was the result of the differences between them over intense custody battle over Nahla.

Berry had met Martinez on the set of "Dark Tide." The couple announced their engagement in March 2012 and eventually married in July 2013 in France in a private ceremony. The couple has a son together, born in October 2013. The family had just arrived back from a year-end trip to Paris.
