The newest Aussie star has finally arrived: Gulliver McGrath.

At the young age of 13, he is privileged enough to work with stars as big as Ben Kingsley and Johnny Depp, along with the most reputable directors like Tim Burton and Martin Scorsese.

His next movie, the 'Dark Shadows,' will open next week, which features the story of a vampire who was cursed by a witch and comes back after 200 years. McGrath's role has the ability to see his mum's ghost but no one believes him until Depp's character comes around.

His next project in line will be for the biopic of Abraham Lincoln played by Daniel Day-Lewis. Directed by Steven Spielberg, McGrath will play the role of Lincoln's son.

Small Beginnings For The Young Actor

The 13-year-old actor raised in Melbourne, was born to a dad who works an anaesthetist and a neuroscientist mum. He shared that he got into acting all by accident. His first acting stint was for a milk commercial where he was followed after by strawberry cows.

After the commercial spot, his parents adored the idea of him acting and sent him to more auditions. After three years, he ended up working for his first movie, 'Hugo' where director Martin Scorsese even gave him a copy of 'Nosferatu.' 'Dark Shadows' director gave him a predator toy during his audition.

No matter how bright things seem to be for the career of the young actor, McGrath still sees himself pursuing law in the future. He is being homeschooled by his mum along with the rest of his younger siblings. He considers acting instead as just a mere hobby.
