Sylvester Stallone may be making a cameo appearance in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.” The actor was reportedly spotted near the set of the movie in Atlanta, where filming of the movie is currently ongoing.

Stallone was carrying a copy of the script of the movie in Atlanta, Daily News reports. The actor was reportedly heading towards the set of the movie on Friday, when he was photographed.

The actor is also said to be staying at the same hotel where the cast members of James Gunn’s movie are currently staying. Stallone also got into the car that is usually assigned to lead cast member Chris Pratt (Peter Quill), which further indicates that the actor will be a part of the movie.

The producers have so far not made any announcements about casting the veteran Hollywood actor. His presence on the set suggests that he will at least have a cameo appearance in the movie, if not a more substantive role.

The new movie will be introducing new characters and the producers have already cast a few new actors. Gunn previously announced on Facebook that Kurt Russell has joined the cast of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.”

The director did not reveal what character Russell will play in the movie, but he is expected to play Star Lord’s father. Answering one of the fans, Gunn revealed that unlike the comic books, J’Son is not Peter’s father in the Marvel cinematic universe.

Some of the other actors who will be joining the movie are Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, and Chris Sullivan. Gunn revealed that Klementieff will be playing the role of the character Mantis in the movie.

“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” is slated to be released on May 5, 2017 in the US. The producers haven’t revealed the release date of the movie for Australia. Some of the other cast members of the movie are Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Dave Bautista (Drax), Vin Diesel (voice of Groot) and Bradley Cooper (voice of Rocket).
