“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” star Zoe Saldana, who recently confirmed being part of “Avengers: Infinity War,” talked about body shaming, saying that she has never been fazed by it. The 28-year-old actress said that she doesn’t pay heed to trash talkers and is not bothered by others' expectation.

“It comes from accepting who you are, as you are. I’ve been around women my whole life. We’re all victims of body shaming. We’re all abusers of self,” she said.

“As long as we practice every day being kind to each other and understand that what is being sold to you and expected of you — it’s unreal. It’s inaccurate.” Saldana said that once this fact is learned, people accept their bodies. They start working on what they have. “You start to curate the kind of information you want in your life,” she told Yahoo.

The “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” star also opened up about facing racism recently. She said that she was often called with the n-word while she was in school but she learned to ignore such comments from her mother. Furthermore, she also revealed how her children Cy and Bowie (two-year old twins) also face rude comments about their skin colour. She said she is still discovering how to deal with it.

Saldana also recently confirmed her character Gamora’s presence in 2018 movie “Avengers: Infinity War.” She said that she is not looking forward to spending five hours in getting her green coloured make up done. However, she is still happy about it. She said that as soon as she arrives on the sets of any film, she feels lucky and happy.

Zoe Saldana will next be seen in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.” The movie is slated to hit the screens in Australia on April 25.
