‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’: Groot missing in first behind the scenes photo shared by James Gunn
“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” director James Gunn has shared a picture of the cast members rehearsing for a scene in the movie. The picture has the main cast members Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista and also cast member Sean Gunn. But Vin Diesel, who plays Groot, is missing in the picture.

Although Groot is not dead and is expected to return in the forthcoming movie, it is still not clear how big a role the character will play in the forthcoming movie. The events of the first movie led many fans to wonder about the fate of the character in the sequel.
Diesel is currently busy filming his next movie “xXx: The Return of Xander Cage.” The actor previously played the role in 2002 and is all set to return as the undercover spy. According to a report by GeekTyrant, the actor recently teased a picture of him with the producer on the first day of the filming of the movie. The picture has since been removed from his Facebook page.
With Diesel busy with filming his action movie, he may not have much time to spare for “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.” The team of Groot and Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper) was highly praised by the fans for the action and the humour they brought to the movie.
Gunn had previously teased a photo of Michael Rooker (Yondu Udonta) rehearsing for a scene. An angry looking Rooker appears to be walking towards the photographer when the picture was taken. “Michael Rooker doesn't like being shot during rehearsals,” Gunn said in the post.

“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” is expected to reveal the details about Peter Quill’s (Pratt) father. The director has so far not revealed the name of the main villain in the movie. The movie is slated to be released on May 5, 2017 in the US.
