"Grand Theft Auto V" for the PS4 is days away from its release on Nov. 18. Ahead of its launch, Rockstar Games recently unveiled the first-person mode that will reportedly be featured in the game version. Before gamers get to test the added first-person mode for themselves, below are some helpful details on the additional view and other exciting features promised for the PS4 version of "GTA V."

Rockstar Games on its newswire claimed it harnessed the power of the next-gen consoles to improve every aspect of "GTA V." Apparently, developers started with the functionality of the PS4's touchpad. According to Kotaku, switching between first-person and third-person modes in "GTA V" reportedly only takes a mere touch on the console's touchpad.

According to "GTA V" animation director Rob Nelson, the first-person mode will give gamers a "literally very intense, "in-your-face experience." However, as exciting as this may sound, the new perspective reportedly also has its limitations. Kotaku claims the first-person mode only works in shooting scenarios. Additionally, per the International Business Times it would also serve its purpose when characters are walking around on foot or when driving. The first-person mode would reportedly immediately switch back to third-person view when characters are taking cover during gunfight.

Additionally, a swipe on the touchpad will supposedly also allow gamers to change their characters' weapons. There are reportedly new first-person animations for reloading weapons in the PS4 version of "GTA V." Per Kotaku, a swipe on the DualShock 4 will also allow gamers to change radio stations. Rockstar assured the next-gen version will have 100 additional songs and new stations.

Lastly, the DualShock 4's speakers will prove useful in terms of sound effects. Police radio and phone calls will reportedly now come from the touchpad's speakers. A red and blue flash on the PS4's light bar reportedly indicates the character is being chased by cops.

Rockstar claimed the launch of the first-person mode for the PS4 version of "GTA V" also called for "technical changes" to the game's aspect. There's an "increase in overall resolution" so much so that details seem realistic. Kotaku noted the dials inside the car's interior actually work and taking selfies in the updated 3D phone is now "creepily realistic."
