Rockstar Games has just announced that the release of "GTA V" for PC will be delayed. Initially scheduled for Jan. 27, developers are now asking more time for further development and assured March 24 as the new date of release. However, to make up for the delay, Rockstar has finally announced the needed PC system requirements players have been waiting for in preparation for the game version.

Rockstar provided the list of required minimum and recommended specifications for the PC game on its newswire. Developers also asked gamers to "stay tuned for more information on GTA V for PC in the coming weeks."

Minimum specifications:

Furthermore, Rockstar advised that "over time downloadable content and programming changes will change the system requirements" for the game version. "GTA V" players are asked to refer to their PC's hardware manufacturer and also to check in to www.rockstargames.com/support "for current compatibility information." Developers warned that specifications not listed may not be supported by the publisher and some system mechanisms, such as mobile chipsets, integrated, and AGP graphics cards may also be incompatible.

"Software installations required including Rockstar Games Social Club platform, DirectX, Chromium, and Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 sp1 Redistributable Package, and authentication software that recognizes certain hardware attributes for entitlement, digital rights management, system, and other support purposes," Rockstar added.

Outside of the system requirements, "GTA V" PC gamers need to log in to Rockstar Games Social Club (13+) network during installation and online play. Likewise, internet connection is needed for activation, online play, periodic entitlement and verification, and single use serial code registration. The latter according to Rockstar is limited to one Rockstar Games Social Club Account (13+) per serial code. Social club accounts and serial codes are non- transferable once used. Developers also advised that only one log-in is permitted per Social Club at any time.

Rockstar also previously announced the PC version of "GTA V" will have audio and graphic updates. It will reportedly feature a range of major visual and technical upgrades to make Los Santos and Blaine County more immersive that ever. Likewise, developers assured the game will include the much-anticipated heists for "GTA V Online."
