‘GTA V ‘Heists Release Date Update: DLC Coming On January 27 -- Report

Rockstar Games on its newswire previously confirmed the much-awaited Heists DLC for "GTA V Online" will come early 2015. However, developers have yet to announce an exact release date. But according to a recent report the content update will be available for download a few weeks from now.

According to Techspouse, the update will be released on Jan 27, 2015 when it becomes available to all consoles e.g. Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC. Per Latin Times the DLC will come with the release of the PC version for "Grand Theft Auto V." A "GTA V" tipster named nillxforums reportedly also confirmed the Jan 27 release date. The update is believed to be on its final stages of development and will be ready for download soon.

"Although the promised new DLC for "Grand Theft Auto V" was not delivered by the end of 2014, "GTA" fans should still not lose hope as one of the voice talents claimed that Rockstar Games is indeed working on the expansion pack," Techspouse writer Chirag Kwatra said.

This voice actor is believed to be Shawn Fonteno, who plays the role of Franklin in "GTA V." Fonteno supposedly said during an interview that Rockstar is currently working on Heists and that the DLC will be released anytime soon. Although again no specific date was mentioned.

Previous speculations slated the release of the online content in December in time for Christmas, after several source codes were leaked pertaining to the features in the DLC. According "GTA V" tipster Shady Lapse at Se7ensins forums, details were leaked from the 1.20 source code for the game. Below are the leaked game codes for the online Heists revealing new weapons, armours and vehicles, which are believed to be available in the update.

However, Rockstar Games has yet to provide an update on the release date of online Heists for "GTA V." What developers have confirmed so far on the DLC is the needed four player team to complete a heist mission. A trailer for the said content was also released back in December showcasing some "multi-tiered Heists across Los Santos and Blaine County.
