The long wait for the much-anticipated release of Heists DLC for "GTA V Online" may soon be over. Rockstar hinted its debut during its recent announcement about upcoming plans for the game. The content is likewise speculated to be included in the game's 1.18 update patch.

Courtesy of Express UK, the company revealed fans should "expect big things in both Grand Theft Auto Online and Grand Theft Auto V next year including: GTA Online Heists." Writing on its official Web site, Rockstar reportedly announced "Heists are currently in development and we are working very hard to get them as polished and as fun as they can be." More details will reportedly be revealed in the New Year.

"We know many of you in the GTA Online community are super excited for the debut of co-operative Heists," Express UK quoted the company on its announcement.

However, China Topix suspects Heists DLC for "GTA V Online" may be released earlier than the New Year. The content could be available when the game is released for the PS4 and Xbox One. The 5th generation console versions are reported to be available on November 18.

Heists DLC was even reportedly rumoured to be included in the new update for "GTA V Online." The 1.18 patch is believed to be released in October, according to the site. The update is even believed to contain two contents, including Heists. However, citing YouTube user DomisLive, the 1.18 patch will supposedly only release one DLC. But no details were further revealed regarding the specific content.

The closest possible DLC in the 1.18 update for "GTA V Online" is believed to contain Halloween-related themes. The inclusion of zombies, chain saws, skeletons and scary masks are said to be featured according to the International Business Times. Fans are even reportedly asking for the appearance of werewolves and vampires to be included in the patch.

Likewise, a DLC to commemorate Veterans Day (Armistice Day) was initially suspected to be included in the 1.18 update. The inclusion of hydra jets and attack helicopters were believed to symbolise the said occasion. However, fans may have to wait until Rockstar makes its official announcement on when the 1.18 update will be released. Likewise, any updates to Heists DLC for "GTA V Online" is still pending the company's reveal.
