Rockstar Games recently upped fans' excitement on the release of "GTA V" for the PS4 with its reveal of the first-person mode. However, few are still left wondering and waiting if the promised online Heists would ever come. Likewise, it's said the 1.18 update could contain the much-awaited DLC.

Aretheheiststhereyet has been keeping tabs on the release of Heists for "GTA V Online." According to the site, it's been 406 days as of this writing since "GTA V Online" was released and still no Heists. However, according to Gamerant, Rockstar recently gave an update on the release of the much-anticipated DLC.

Rockstar Games reportedly told IGN in a recent interview that Heists for "GTA V Online" is coming "soon." However, no specific release date was mentioned, so fans are still left wondering and waiting. But as per Gamerant writer Kyree Leary, "best case scenario for heists is that Rockstar announces them prior to the game's launch on current-gen hardware, on which it'll also come to first, with last-gen to follow shortly after."

This isn't the first time Rockstar has addressed the release of Heists for "GTA V Online." According to a previous report from the International Business Times, the company once hinted the DLC's release next year. "Expect big things in both Grand Theft Auto Online and Grand Theft Auto V next year including: GTA Online Heists," Rockstar wrote.

According to Rockstar, Heists is still being developed "to get them as polished and as fun as they can be." However, Chinatopix suspects the DLC may also be released together with the "GTA V" launch on the PS4 and Xbox One on Nov. 18. Heists may supposedly already be available out of the box. Additionally, IBTimes supposed that Heists for "GTA V Online" could also be released with the 1.18 update, which gamers are also waiting for. The patch was previously rumoured to be released in October together with a Halloween DLC. However, neither of the two surfaced.

The upside to the delay on the release of Heists DLC for "GTA V Online" would reportedly be its availability to all consoles unlike the recently announced first-person mode. The latter is said to be exclusive to the PC and the next-gen consoles; the PS4 and Xbox One.
